Portable Dental Care for Residents Not Enrolled in the OHM® Program

PrevMED provides, in many areas, a Dentist and Dental Assistant on-site for nursing home residents who are not enrolled in our monthly PrevMED Oral Health Maintenance® Program.

If your family member requests or is in need of dental care, you may discuss the need with the nursing staff at the facility. The facility can contact the PrevMED Portable Dental Care coordinator who will determine if this service is available in your area and get the details.

Our Dentist will then be scheduled to do an initial assessment in the nursing home. During this visit, the Dentist will perform a Comprehensive Oral Exam with x-rays for a discounted fee. At this appointment the Dentist will determine your family member’s oral care needs and prescribe treatment.

The recommended treatment(s) will be billed according to a fee schedule based on the state in which your family resides. You may request a brochure with our fee schedule by calling our Portable Dental Program Coordinator at 1-877-604-2444. We have discounted our fees to 95% of the standard ADA rates for Private Pay residents. Payment is required prior to treatment. The Dentist will then be scheduled through the facility for a return visit to perform the pre-paid, prescribed treatment for your loved one.
