Why Oral Health Care?

Periodontal disease is one of the most common diseases and dentists are no longer the only health professionals urging their patients to follow an oral health regimen.

Six chronic conditions (cardiovascular disease, stroke, pneumonia, diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis) are reportedly linked to periodontal disease. Therefore, it is important to manage and improve oral health in order to promote overall health.

According to the CDC, 47.6% of adults over 30 have some form of periodontal disease, with the elderly being especially susceptible if they are unable to care for their own oral hygiene.
